Dance Holidays at Durley Dean – Bournemouth, Dorset

The recently refurbished Durley Dean Hotel is an historic Victorian townhouse hotel situated close to the beaches of Bournemouth, one of the most popular holiday destinations on the south coast of England.

The Durley Dean Hotel offers a range of bedrooms to choose from including executive, standard, twin and spacious family rooms which offer a comfortable sofa bed.

Since 2008, the hotel has benefited from £3.6 million of refurbishment.

Car Parking

Please be advised from the 1 October 2016 the car park will become a paid car park for a fee of £10.00 per night. The checkout time for the car park on your last day will be midday, or further charges will apply. In order to receive this discount, please pay at the hotel reception on arrival, informing them of your registration number. Failure to do so will result in a parking fine.

Relaxed dining is available in No.28 Restaurant offering a range of British cuisine sourced from local producers and suppliers, where possible.

Snacks and refreshments are served throughout the day in the lounge bar.

The tuition was excellent! We loved the different approach to tuition this time and really felt we learned so much which we could carry forward. Instead of learning a long routine and steps that we would never remember after the weekend (or even the same evening!), we were taught ‘how to dance’! A simple tango figure but with emphasis on technique and how to use our bodies and to feel the music.Paul and Marie were wonderful – kind and encouraging giving us all personal attention. 3 workshops in one day was rather tiring so not sure we gave our best in the last one! Having the last one on the Sunday morning would have been better. But we loved it and hope to experience more of this style of tuition on future dance breaks. Thank you :)

The new year dance break was fantastic. Paul and Carole do such a lot to ensure everyone has a great time. The whole holiday was brilliant but the New Year’s Day tea dance and evening dance were the highlight of the holiday. The Wessex is a lovely hotel with a great dance floor.
