Dancers … we have asked the hotel not to serve dinner until everyone is seated. Therefore, if you are considering pre-dinner drinks, please ensure you leave plenty of time to ensure you do not delay dinner being served on time.
Itinerary
Ladies please note, the ballroom has a superb dance floor, with great acoustics. However, hotel air conditioning is very effective, and if external doors are opened for cool fresh air, although this makes for a wonderfully comfortable temperature on the dance floor, for ladies, when not actively participating in the dancing, a “wrap” may be appropriate.
Friday evening:
Sherry Reception at 6.00pm in the Ballroom.
Dinner is served promptly at 6.30pm
Social Dance 8.30pm – 11.00pm
Early Bird dancing from 8.00pm
Dress code: Smart Casual.
Saturday evening:
Formal Ball 8.30pm – 11.00pm
Early bird dancing from 8.00pm
Dress code: DJ/Dark Suit/Evening Gown/Cocktail Dress
Gentlemen… if you do not have a dark suit or DJ, minimum dress code is white shirt with dickie bow.
Please do dress for dinner to create the atmosphere for the evening.
Sunday evening:
A Halloween Party Special (with opportunity to try out your newly found Cha Cha Cha dancing skills) 8.30pm – 10.30pm (ish)
This event is now in its eighth year and is a, “not to be missed affair”. It is mandatory to take part in the Halloween theme, and we regret there will be no access to the ballroom unless you have made every effort to be involved in the dress code. Please take part, and dress for dinner, to create the atmosphere for the occasion. We do accept some people find “fancy dress” a little daunting, but this event is a wonderful occasion and is “spoilt” when dancers do not make the effort to support the theme, and you wouldn’t want to feel under-dressed!

Dancers, teaching over many hours is incredibly exhausting. During the brief break between masterclasses, your teachers need a moment to collect their thoughts and consider the next session, and try to grab a drink. Their lunchtime is equally valuable to them, and we would ask you, as dancers, to understand and respect that, whilst they want to be available to you, these short periods between and after your sessions need to be their personal time.
Whilst we understand that you only want to ask a brief question, or exchange a pleasantry, or even thank them, we would be grateful if you could find an alternative time to do that, preferably during your workshop. In any event, we would respectfully request that you leave your session promptly to ensure the daily timetable runs on schedule and your courtesy towards teachers in allowing them their private time, would be greatly appreciated.
