The Kernos Beach hotel near the lovely town of Malia ( walking distance) is only a 25 min transfer from Heraklion Airport.
The hotel and bungalows are essentially split into three main buildings…… On arrival, there is a separate reception area where you are welcomed with a cooling and refreshing lemon iced drink and your check in is completed.
Once through reception, the main hotel building housing a multiple choice of various comfortable, well-appointed bedrooms, suites, some at ground level, others on the 2nd or third floor, stretches out in front of you…… if you choose to stay in the upgraded bungalows, you will pass underneath the main building and the first thing you will notice besides the lush lawned Mediterranean landscaped gardens stretching out to your own private beach is……
The Total and Peaceful Silence!
The word ‘Serenity’ immediately comes to mind as you take in the spectacular view of the Mediterranean immediately beyond the creamy soft sands of a truly lovely sandy beach described as one of the best in Crete.
This resort in April, ( its season has just commenced) is tranquil, easy on the eye, immediately relaxing, with many facilities, pools, and a selection of restaurants, bars, some secluded and shaded with views of the sea and others in private gardens just waiting for you to bring your book and collapse into a comfortable cushioned chair with a refreshing drink.
It was this quiet, calm, tranquil ambience that was the first feature that struck Carole and I on our initial visit…..
Moving down towards the beach the next building houses the main restaurant, the comfortable chic lounge areas, and the function room we will use for dancing which on one side has sliding glass doors enabling some guests to actually sit outside while relaxing between dances……. During the winter of 23 the hotel is having an entirely new laminate floor laid and fitted ready for our visit….
Carole and I are entirely satisfied that you will find the standard bedrooms ( please see photographs on our website) extremely comfortable, but a whole range of upgrades are available and if you would like a quote, please email our office on admin@nulldancebreaks.com.
When leaving the resort you can easily walk to the nearby resort of Malia which is full of busy shops, restaurants and the usual coffee shops/bars/places of interest and buses to nearby towns or maybe even back to Heraklion are easily available? If you want to see the rest of the island the hotel does organise some tours or car hire is the other option.
We think the Hotel and the unique ambience of resort itself, and time of year, will draw many dancers back time and again for a relaxing holiday, especially with some fabulous dancing most nights…..
